Permissions
Permissions enable applications to access particular aspects of your computer, including both hardware and software components. Boom functions as a virtual camera tool that requests permission to interact with various computer elements to apply overlays and visual effects during video communications.
Required Permissions
Section titled “Required Permissions”Boom requires the following system permissions:
- Accessibility: Required for keyboard shortcuts.
- Camera: Needed to display themes and other visual effects on your calls.
- Location: Required to display your city and weather on your calls.
- Screen Recording & System Audio: Enables the presentation functionality, allowing Boom to access your screen for presentation features.
