Connect Boom to Zoom

Overview

1. Launch Boom and select your camera
2. Launch Zoom and select Boom as your video input
3. Turn off any Zoom video enhancements
4. Join your call

Launch Boom & Configure Your Video Input

1. Launch Boom and select your camera.

Note

Your camera choice will only need to be set the first time you launch Boom or if your camera device has changed.

Launch Zoom & Select Boom as Your Video Input

1. Launch Zoom and open your settings.
2. Click on the “Video” category and select Boom from the dropdown under “Camera.” This will allow Boom overlays to be seen on your calls.
3. If you see Boom’s overlays flipped in your video, don’t worry! It’s just how it looks to you, not to others. To fix it, uncheck “Mirror my video.”

Note

The other participants on the call will always see your video feed exactly as it appears on the Boom Canvas or Boom Mirror.

4. In the “Background & Effects” category, set all of Zoom’s video effects to “None.” This ensures that Zoom does not interfere with Boom’s overlays. Click on each tab: Virtual backgrounds, Video Filters, and Avatars.
5. When screen sharing with Boom, to prevent other callers from seeing Boom’s Presentation Remote: Click on Share Screen > “Share individual window” > Advanced, and ensure there is a check mark next to “Share selected app window only.”
