Uninstalling Boom

Removing Boom from Your System

1. Launch Boom
2. Find “Installers” in the menu bar at the top of your screen and click it
3. Click “Uninstall Extension”
4. Quit Boom by clicking the “B” in the menu bar and selecting “Quit Boom Completely”
5. Move Boom from your Applications folder to trash

Tip

If you encounter an error at step 3, try clicking “Update Extension” first. You may need to restart your system after the update completes before clicking “Uninstall Extension” again.

Removing Boom’s Camera Extension (macOS 15+)

For users on macOS 15 or later who have already uninstalled Boom:

1. Open System Settings
2. Navigate to: General > Login Items & Extensions > Camera Extensions (scroll to the bottom and click the “i”)
3. Click the three dots next to Boom and select “Delete Extension”

Note

• macOS 15+ users who only need to remove the camera extension can skip the full uninstall process
• macOS 14 and earlier users must reinstall Boom before following the removal instructions
